An Organised Fitness Event is any type of publically-available, organised fitness event that you can register to participate in. This includes: cycling events, multi-sport (triathlon/duathlon etc.) events, running events, water sport events (swimming, canoeing) or walking events.
You can earn between 100 and 1,500 AIA Vitality points by participating in organised fitness events. The points allocation depends on the type of sport and the distance of the event.
For a list of AIA Vitality points available and to ensure your organised fitness event is included, please refer to the list in the Organised Fitness Event page in the AIA Vitality section of your Rest app. You will also need to enter the event details on this page within three months of the event to be able to earn AIA Vitality points.

We will review the event to see if it qualifies for AIA Vitality points and how many can be earned. If approved, your points will be awarded within four to eight weeks.
Please note that we may perform an audit to confirm your participation in the event. Any inappropriate or fraudulent use of this benefit and abuse of the privileges of the AIA Vitality program may lead to suspension from AIA Vitality.
To receive AIA Vitality Points, you will need to submit event details such as your registration/event number, results and other relevant information within 3 months of the event.

AIA Australia will use the criteria set out below to determine, in its sole discretion, if the event qualifies for AIA Vitality points. Please note that the decision of AIA Australia will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The criteria used to verify events are:
- An officially organised and timed event of a specified distance on a specified date that requires registration and the issue of a race number.
- A sport intended to increase heart rate so as to produce cardio respiratory health benefits to the person.
Excluded events:
- All motorised sports or events
- Extreme sports
- Provincial or National Championships − points for events are aimed at more community-based events.
- Team sports (rugby, AFL, soccer, netball etc.)
